We’re getting ready to update Simple Migraine Tracker with an all-new version!

We heard your feedback loud and clear. We’ve been working to incorporate fixes, updates, and a super-sized bottle of new features to help you track your migraines.

Most importantly: we are sticking to our golden rule: one click. We created Simple Migraine Tracker to be the easiest way to track your migraines. We also want to capture as much data as we possibly can without starting up a game of 20 questions. So, just like before, you can capture even more with a single tap of a button in our new version.

What Did We Fix?

The short answer: everything. This new version is a complete rebuild from the ground up. There isn’t a single graphic, swipe, or line of code we didn’t scrutinize. But don’t worry; we didn’t change all the good parts, we just made them work better. For example, when you record a migraine in Simple Migraine Tracker, you can record the weather, too. We upgraded our API connection to our weather service and expanded our agreement to ensure every tap gets fresh weather data.

We also reworked the navigation. You’ll find all your favorite tools are still in the app, right where you left them. We simply made it easier, smoother, and more intuitive to navigate around the app to view statistics and data that you record.

We’ve added a lot of automation. As I said earlier, our driving philosophy is to keep it simple. That means we’re working hard to provide lots of important data without asking you a million questions. We’ve tightened up our automatic collection of data so you have a reliable experience every time you record a migraine. Just a simple tap of our “Record and Attack” button and you’ll be collecting data on the weather, location, activity, and, of course, time. We push all that into a series of easy-to-read charts to help you spot trends, triggers, and trouble spots. All with a single tap of a button.

We also did a full review of the entire experience. We know what it’s like to experience a migraine. The last thing you want to do is look at a screen that is too bright, too colorful, or too busy. So we made sure everything is simple and easy to look at. We also added a universal color selector. Everything in the app is color optional. You can change the entire app to your favorite color from soft gray, nighttime red, or comforting green. And everything in between: you can change the entire app to any color you want.

We also made icons bigger and easier to see. They’re a little softer, too. No harsh corners or vibrating lines. We want this to be a comfortable non-triggering experience for you. All your favorites are still there, too. Dark mode, sound on or off, and the ability to choose your own sound or color to suit your preferences.

What’s In The New Version?

We listened to your feedback and came up with a few ideas of our own. This new version is chock-full of new features. We’ll be talking about them as we ramp up to launch but as a quick introduction…

We are now collecting more weather data. Many of you asked for things like barometric pressure, so we included that. We’re also taking note of your activity so you can see if your migraines are a reaction to your level of activity. We’ve also added news right in the app so you can keep track of new features and updates. You’ll find improved abilities to use Siri to record a migraine, and integration with AppleWatch, too! New features also include the ability to set automatic notifications so you can alert a buddy that you’re experiencing a migraine, and we’ve added ambient sounds to help you soften your environment if you want to.

There’ll be more updates coming soon. We expect the app to be ready in the next month, so stay tuned!

Finally: Thank you very much for your support. We appreciate your interest in Simple Migraine Tracker and we hope that we can help with the tools we are creating for you.
